Gestalt – Organization – Development
Kurt Lewin and Organizational Development
Organization and development are core topics in Gestalt psychology. In particular, Kurt Lewin systematically explored these areas for social and economic psychological questions. The focus of the conference was on the question of how the Gestalt concept became the key to understanding the developmental dynamics of groups and institutions, and what concrete projects emerged from using Gestalt psychological experience for analyzing and consulting on organizational cultures.
In addition to this main topic, the conference also offered contributions in the spirit of multidisciplinary dialogue, addressing Gestalt – Organization – Development in other research and application areas.
A section was designed as an excursion to Berlin to places related to Gestalt theory.
The conference languages were German and English. The conference papers, as well as a conference report, have since been published in the journal Gestalt Theory.
